You must reclaim your wealth, or you will starve.
Your adventure begins in late summer at the base of the mountain. You must reach the summit, recover your treasure, and return before the snow falls.
Time marches ever forward.
Die on the mountain when you run out of health or provisions.
The fellowship shares a limited carrying capacity and a supply of provisions. Weather and terrain change as the journey advances. Events can bring supplies, enemies, delays, or an opportunity to shorten the climb. Ravens carry increasingly desperate news from home.
The journey uses a progress clock for the ascent and descent. Reaching the treasure is only part of the task; you still have to get everyone and their gold off the mountain.
Fight when you must.
Iytch uses the Kinetic combat engine, also found in Kill Him Faster. Zone-based combat gives each adventurer a field of opponents, with weapon ranges, incoming reinforcements, and actions tied to remaining health. Build encounters with enemy point values; conditions and morale change how those fights unfold.
This two-page survival RPG includes fellowship and character creation, equipment, weather and terrain procedures, events, combat, and enemies. It was written in response to a payment provider withholding the creator’s earnings. The dragon’s indifference is personal.
